Our staff are both licenced ecologists and trained in land management so that we can carry out both aspects of work, should they be needed.

Here at Bats and Trees Ltd we have availability to undertake all types of bat survey work now so that your project can satisfy local planners and commence on time without programme delays. We are used to designing and undertaking all types of bat surveys and producing survey reports which comply with national bat guidance and which contain pragmatic mitigation.

In addition to our bat expertise we provide ecological advice across the UK for many legally protected species including great crested newts, breeding birds, badgers and water voles. We have managed the ecology for a wide range of projects including school refurbishments, highways and major infrastructure schemes and have worked with a wide range of local, regional and national developers and local authorities.           

We are used to working closely with our clients and seeing projects through all development stages including initial ecological walkover surveys, ecological reports supporting planning applications, negotiating with local authority ecologists, satisfying planning conditions and managing ecological issues during the construction phase.  Our ecologists work within strict health and safety protocols and undertake all survey work under risk assessments.
